Join us in Helping Others Fight.
Willow Creek member, Beverly Gagliardi, died January 4, 2018, just 11 months after her initial Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis. She battled through a series of difficult surgeries and the debilitating side effects of chemotherapy. She never got to meet her only granddaughter Kinley, who was born a few days after she died. Bev wanted to help others, even as she suffered. Her devoted husband, Jim, has established this event in her memory and to bring greater awareness, support, and hope to others suffering from this disease. There are emerging immunological technologies and therapies that remarkably may increase the quality of life and longevity of patients without the toxicity of chemotherapy. But further research is required.
When Beverly was hospitalized at St. Luke’s in the Texas Medical Center she made those around her laugh and smile with her charming and friendly nature. Even when she was most ill she still flashed her beautiful smile to those doctors, nurses, and assistants that were helping her. She thanked them and called them her “Angels”.
To honor all of those wonderful, care-giving “Angels”, we are collecting donations of any amount which will be presented to the Elkins Pancreas Center for further research into treatments and potential cures for Pancreatic Cancer. Your host, Jim Gagliardi, will match any and all personal donations to a total of $5,000.00. Please consider making an “Angel Donation” and “Help Others Fight” cancer.
We appreciate your generosity and support and thank you for contributing to the success of our fundraising event!
